IIBA CBAP Certification

IIBA CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification is globally recognized, vendor-neutral credential designed for business analysis practitioners to practice requirements development; requirements management; able to analyze, validate, elicit, and document business, organizational and/or operational requirements. The IIBA CBAP certification is the level three professional certification from the IIBA. This certification is for individuals with extensive business analysis experience. The CBAP certification acknowledges intermediate to senior business analysts with more than five years of experience. CBAP certified professionals are recognized experts in the Business Analysis field, relied on for the most significant projects, and demonstrate commitment to the profession, an important edge with employers.

IIBA CBAP exam objectives are as follows:

  • Strategy Analysis (15%)
  • Solution Evaluation (14%)
  • Elicitation and Collaboration (12%)
  • Requirements Life Cycle Management (15%)
  • Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring (14%)
  • Requirements Analysis and Design Definition (30%)

Here are the skills that are measured in the IIBA CBAP certification exam:

  • Implementing effective and result-oriented business analysis
  • Understanding of principles and practices of business analysis
  • Achieving reliable, quality results with enhanced efficiency and consistency
  • Demonstrating competence known and recognized by peers and management
  • Following established standards that are outlined in the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) version 3.0

Requirements for IIBA CBAP Certification

      a minimum of 900 hours in each of 4 of the 6 BABOK Guide Version 3 Knowledge Areas.
  2. Professional Development:
    Minimum of 35 hours in the last 4 years
